Excellent site. Amazing views over snow capped mountains. Very friendly and helpful staff. Ate in the restaurant which was good value and the food was great. Toilets very clean Large outside and smaller warmer inside pool. Easy walking distance to really good beach. Walked to Comillas which took an hour. Gaudi house tours in English at 1230 and 1630 and cost 5 euros. Town well worth a visit. St Vicente further away and over some steep hills but very beautiful.

Great site within walking distance of a great beach. Very good and clean facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bar is good and the food in the sizeable restaurant was very good. Only stayed 1 night but would definitely go back for a longer stay in the future.

Our second visit to this site. It was busier than we remembered. The location is great, it’s a short walk to a lovely beach and the Picos are a short drive away. There are lots of lovely towns to visit in the are too and it’s only 30 mins from the ferry port of Santander. We ate in the restaurant. The food was lovely, good quality ingredients cooked well, although the menu choices are basic. The pitches we found rather small. We have a large twin axle and we didn’t have space to put up our awning and keep the car on the pitch. We made do with just a ground sheet because the weather was lovely. The pitch was a sandy dirt and when it rained it got quite muddy so a ground sheet outside the caravan is necessary. The WiFi is free but didn’t work very well except near reception.

Nice, quiet site, about 15 minutes walk to huge sandy beach which has a couple of restaurants. The site is spacious and well maintained with good sanitation. The indoor & outdoor pools are nice. Pitches are terraced mostly level or gently sloping. All are a good size and easily accessed. We had water and grey water drainage on our pitch, but not sure if this is universal. A few hard standing pitches as well. Friendly, english speaking staff. There’s nothing not to like about this site.

We stayed 5 nights. Credit to the staff who were friendly, professional and kept the toilets etc very clean. Lovely area too. The negatives: Poor privacy and very muddy in wet weather which meant a constant hassle keeping caravan interior clean. Access can be difficult for larger units.

We have now stayed in this campsite 3 times for a couple of nights en route to other destinations. The staff are very welcoming and speak excellent English. They are also very quick to reply to emails. The toilet/ washing facilities are of top quality and are cleaned several times a day. There is also toilet paper and hand soap supplied. We have eaten in the restaurant on each visit. The food is of excellent quality and a reasonable price.
We have not used the swimming pool, but both indoor and outdoor are excellent with a separate outdoor children’s pool. It is a 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach via the back gate of the campsite. Pitches are a good size and have water next to them. SAN Vincent de la Barquera is a nice town and we managed to walk it via beach when tide out and cliff path. Total walk 13.3 Kilometres. All together a fantastic campsite in a very nice location.

Fabulous site. Staff very helpful. We were only here for 3 nights and had we not been booked on a ferry from Santander we would certainly have stayed longer. Showers and toilets clean and plentiful. Pool area really good with heated indoor pool, outdoor pool and sun loungers. Gym equipment for those inclined. Fabulous meals in the restaurant and great price for the quality of the food you get. Bar prices reasonable too.

We last visited this lovely site two years ago and were not disappointed when we returned. It\'s in the most beautiful surroundings with access from the back of the site to quiet country lanes for walks and accessing the enormous beach. Going the most direct route it\'s about 15 minutes walk, or turn left and take a lovely stroll down the lanes to the far end of the beach. There\'s a good bar/ restaurant on the beach. As for the site itself, it\'s very well kept and well organised. Many of the pitches have glorious views of the Picos mountains. We had dinner in the restaurant; a good value and very well cooked three course meal, but not as \'Spanish\' as we would have liked. We were there on the first weekend of the Spanish school holiday and the site was busy, with many of the very nice looking bungalows occupied. This meant it was pretty busy around the swimming pool but otherwise no problem, the facilities are nigh enough to cope. It\'s probably worth booking, or arriving early at weekends though to make sure you get a pitch. Excellent, easy access to Santander from here.
